Unsinkable : Ship of Theseus

You think the title’s different? Wait till you see the movie. The photography, the direction, the dialogue, everything about this film, is unlike anything you’ve seen come out of India before. And it’s been a hundred years, so that’s high praise.

Described by aficionados as “absolutely accessible,” Anand Gandhi’s three-tier tour de force was the talk of the Toronto International Film Festival where it was called “the hidden gem of the year.” If you happen to be in search of a swift kick in the perspectives, this would be an excellent place to start. Opens July 19th.
